Release of Inventory to Jobs
Realtrac's
new version 1.4.26 of its real-time job shop management
software includes an enhanced Bill of Material capability
that allows material to be released to jobs automatically
as soon as a specified operation (e.g. saw, shear)
on the bar coded router is completed. The new feature
insures that material costs are posted to jobs in
progress as soon as the material is used, with inventory
levels updated in real-time.
Expanded Job
Bill of Material capabilities now include the flexibility
to allocate specified B.O.M. items and issue them
when needed. Realtrac users are alerted to items falling
below minimum inventory quantity and items on order
that are over due. Purchase Orders can be generated
directly from the Bill of Material screen to cover
shortages.
The software
also warns in real-time of other shop problems that
may require immediate management attention, such as
what jobs are running late. Users are alerted to jobs
and operations that are exceeding estimated times.
